This makes me think about all the times I have off-duty officers respond to a call b/c they're the courtesy officer at their apartment complex. They're out there, usually w/ no radio, and just as vulnerable. Rest in Peace, Officer Fountain.

Officer Fountain, you were truly a brave man and an inspiration to all individuals who have chosen to wear the badge. You answered a call while off duty because you felt it was the right thing to do and it lead to your untimely death. May God be with you and thank you very much for your service and all you did. Rest in peace now brother.
