I was born in Columbus, Ohio. My grandfather was Clarence E. Woolman, who died in 1967. He was a descendent of John Woolman, the Quaker preacher. I wonder if our families are related, Deputy Woolman's and my own?

Another year has passed and you are still admired and respectfully remembered in the hearts and minds of so many. My thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones and friends on this anniversary of your EOW. You will never be forgotten.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I feel you and your family did not get justice in this case. How can someone go from being so insane as to commit murder, shoot 2 people, then be well enough in 4 years to be set free. I can't imagine the mental health system was that good in Iowa or anywhere else 98 years ago. It would be interesing to know if the murderer reoffended after being freed.
