My mother Lois used to work at Johnson's Restaurant in Plant City back in the early 1960's and remembered Ben Wilder coming into the restaurant there just about every week where he always used to order up his usual dinner of a steak with vine ripe sliced tomato.

Thank You for your service to our community Sgt. Ben Wilder and you are not forgotten.

My father Johnny Pollock worked with
Ben and was there the day he was killed.
They were friends and this was a sad day
for my dad, I was not very old, but may father told me when I got older. He had
nothing but good things to say about Ben
who died to young. He also know Perry Young there all worked together. You know it is sad if you look back then and now and see how bad this world has got. I have respect for the law and the men and women who serve, I guess that is because I had a GOOD father who raised me like that. My Dad has passed now, but I still remember things he told me. Treat everyone how you want to be treated.
