You were serving your community when your life was taken by a cowardly criminal act. Your service honors your family, your community, your profession, colleagues in the Riverside Police Department and throughout the greater law enforcement community.

Now the community of Riverside, and your department, must deal with another cowardly criminal act resulting in the loss of one Riverside Officer and the serious wounding of another. My thoughts and prayers are with these most recent victims, their families and friends, the department and the community.

Continue to Rest in Peace - and welcome another Riverside hero into the next Life.

Uncle,
We never knew each other;and it saddens me to learn that you did not get justice for your murder. Your memory lives on within your family and friends. God bless you.

Deputy Chief Baird,
On today, the 98th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Riverside. I too am disappointed and can't believe that your murderer received such a light sentence.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 97th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Though your demise is unknown to us, God is fully aware of the circumstances, and I'm sure by now justice has been served. Unfortunately, many more officers with the Riverside Police Department have fallen since you. 62 years later, my own father was one of them. Rest in peace.
