Sir, I am a fellow Deputy, hired over 50 years after your end of watch. We still have the article announcing your death up in our squad room. I would like to up date the details here, however, since I do not have the ability to cite the article, my recollection of the article will have to do.
Deputy Raymond Wenner was testing a newly opened section of road, for the construction company, when his motorcycle hit some gravel. He was thrown from his motorcycle and was killed. Though the names of the roads have changed, I believe it occured somewhere near STH 29 and CTH R on the East side of Brown County.

Rest in Peace, Brother, you have not been forgotten.

Brown County Sheriff's Dept.

Brother Wenner,

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Respectfully,
You’re Brothers in Blue
