Harry L Ward is the father of my grandmother Peggy L. Huff who passed away December 12,2013. As I was doing research on my family tree, I came across the fact that my great grandfather Harry L Ward, whom I have never met, died a hero. What a legacy to hold on to.

Your heroism and service is honored today as we approach the 72nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer, 68 years after you died.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
