Your heroism and service is honored today, the 49th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I am sure you are proud that your family has continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

Rest In Peace

I have heard many stories about Uncle Booty and my Grandfather (Charles Lee Baber) his brother and all that Uncle Booty contributed to the field of LE and to the city of Alexandria with his duty and life, My Father James K Baber was named after Uncle Booty and I received the combo of both him and my grandfather for my name I tried to follow in both their footsteps and tried my best to be the best at my LE career in the military and abroad overseas to pay homage to both. I have since retired and have considered continuing by applying to APD to carry on the family name and tradition.

I have known of Pat's career as well and have a lot of respect for him as well, keep your faith and take care.

to Uncle "Booty" RIP and my highest and deepest respect to you. God Bless

The 48 years since my dad's death have been long and at times difficult without him. There were times he would have been an asset in my law enforcement career. His memory served me well in those trying times. I can say I feel he would be very proud of my life and my family. At this time my family is all that I have with my Mom, brother and aunt all gone to be with Dad. Rest in peace always, with that knowledge, your oldest son,
Pat

Uncle Booty, we in your family have missed you these last 44 years. We remember well your kindness and thoughtfulness to all. You did not have the opportunity to see your young sons grow to manhood. You would have been proud of them. One of them is now gone to be again with you as has your lovely wife, Virginia. You loved your job as a police officer enough to give your life in that capacity. Your brother, Charles L. Baber, my father followed in your footsteps and retired from Alexandria Police Dept. as a Det. Lt. He always looked up to you and appreciated all the help you gave him in life. Thanks again Uncle Booty. RIP. Bill Baber
