I only worked a couple of tours with Gabe in the 109 precint, but I enjoyed working with him. I clearly remember that Gabe had a lot of energy. At the end of our 4x12 tours he seemed as if he could do another eight hours and he was much older than me. Rest in peace Gabe.

Detective (Retired) Arthur Perry

I can still remember the day I last spoke to you at the Carman Ave stores before you were heading into work. I was always so impressed by how nice you treated me and you're a big reason why I chose to go into police work. Rest In Peace Gabe

It was my honor to research newspapers, magazines, online & books to find your ID CARD Photo. I found this photo in a Online Article about your heroic sacrifice. I felt it was necessary to have a photo on this website so that your family & friends can remember you. Rest Easy Hero! Always Remembered!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the thirty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
