Reflections for Policeman Carlos A. Velasquez-Colon

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 26th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for the solace of all who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace

PO Velazquez, you showed me the ropes when I arrived in the Hato Rey 262 Precinct in Manuel A. Perez. I will never forget the day I returned to the State Police HDQTRS in Hato Rey and saw your picture, as the latest officer killed in the line of duty. I was devastated in disbelief. You will never be forgotten.
