Dear DAD, although I didn't get to see you, hug, kiss, or even say I love you because I was only 5 month old when they took your life. This year will be your 40th year that I still miss you. Now I understand the blessing of having a father that gave his live to protect others, that your two grandson's took after you. See dad you didn't have a boy but you did have grandson's that took after you Rafael as a Marine and Luis as a Police officer just like you. Thanks for watching over us and as I know that you are one of Gods angel will protect your grandkids.

For all the agents that have falling on the line of duty, thank you and God bless each of your families; from my family to yours.

Hace un año para esta misma fecha antes de tu caída, había caído otro compañero interviniendo en otro de otro vehículo. Debiste haber estado retirándote para esta fecha más o menos, lo que posiblemente nos hubiese puesto el destino trabajar juntos. Para cuando caíste yo estaba en la escuela jugando y soñando en ser policía cuando creciera. Hoy puedo decirte gracias por cuidar el de la sociedad que me vio crecer, pues hoy soy quien soy. Que en paz continúe descansando tu alma mientras nosotros seguimos velando por los tuyos. Un abrazo para la eternidad hasta que volvamos a tomar servicio en el reino de los cielo.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 31rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
