As I read all these statements about my Grandfather Will Thornsberry,I am moved to tears. The ceremony when his and his cousin A J's name were added to the policeman's wall of Honor will always be a special memory. I only wish my mother Holly could have been alive and able to travel with my husband and me when we joined my brother Earl and several of our extended family members to honor the 2 cousin and best friends sacrifice. I wish I could have known you.
R I P Grandpa. I love you.

Grandpa, I never got to hear about the good old days from you. Your daughter Artie told me a lot and most was about how gentle you were. She was my mother. Your youngest daughter Odessa was only two weeks old when you were taken from us, she missed you all of her life. She was so happy when she had your name placed on this wall, a day I will never forget.
Rest in Peace, your family always had you in their hearts.

Constable Thornsberry,
On today, the 80th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you to you and your cousin for your service and sacrifice. It sickens me that your murderer only served two years. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
