Reflections for Chief of Police Robert Oscar Sullivan

Chief Sullivan,
On today, the 100th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Hot Springs.

I have a picture of Sullivan which was in the photo album of a Kansas attorney from then, John J. McCurdy. The photo has written at the bottom when he was killed, so I googled that date along with the name Sullivan, as the next picture in the photo album had that name at the bottom of the picture and comparing the two pictures, they are the same man. I do not see how I can share these pictures here, so email me if you want to see them.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
