Reflections for Officer Robert W. Suess

Officer Suess,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division-the “All-American” Division! And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Officer Suess, on the anniversary of your death, I honor your name sir. Not only do we share the same last name, we also share the significance of today’s date. Unfortunately you paid the ultimate sacrifice on today’s date. Where oddly enough, I was born on today’s date. As a fellow LEO of 19 years, I was astonished to find you on this site. Rest easy sir, and thank you for your service.

Thanks for your sacrifice of your life and your family's burden of your loss. I was born in Fairfield CA. In July 1958 and my mom had a close connection with some of the CHP. My father was a police officer in 1958 so I became a Deputy in 1980.

Semper Fi fellow CHPY. You were wearing our proud uniform when I was only 12 years old. You did our great Blue and Gold proudly during your service. Ride your Motor with pride in the sky’s above and watch over all our brave men and women serving. We will always remember you and your family each and every time we see a CHP Motor on the highways and byways of our Golden state. Thank you for your service brother and God be with you...

Dear Officer Suess: Thank you for your service to the citizens of California!! Another drunk driver takes another officer to his unnecessary death!! I am so sad and wish MADD could have been there for your family and co-workers back then. Please watch out for my beloved Blue and Gold.

You are remembered, loved and appreciated.
