Reflections for Police Officer Elbert Stuyvesant

Thank you for your service and please know that your sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten. Rest in peace always.

Police Officer Elbert Stuyvesant was the first negro police officer in the Port Washington Police District. Not until several decades later did the agency have another like officer: Ronald Pinckney.

Officer Stuyvesant, your heroism is admirable and commendable. What a horrid fate and frankly, disgusting way to die, but that you risked your life under those circumstances proves you to be a hero like nothing else can.

I have a deep respect for the other victims as well. You three are forever linked as heroes, but YOU could have walked away, YOU could have said, "I'm waiting for help from...." or "I'm going to get....", you didn't, you just tried.

God Bless you and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I said a little prayer today for Police Officer Stuyvesant and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

I was not aware of your presence until today. I am not sure how we are related, but I am sure that we are both related in some way to Peter. Rest In Peace Brother.
