My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I was born and raised in Manistique, seeing officers from the Manistique Department of Public Safety was an everyday event. I only recently learned that one of the early department members had been killed in the line of duty.
