Reflections for Officer Frankie Mae Shivers

Merry Christmas too you and your family. May they continue to move forward in life and heal with your guidance. God Bless!

First, I would like to say, I am truly happy to see that someone decided to create a web page that pays tribute to all our fallen officers and their achievements. Second, it is an honor for me to acknowledge Frankie for her endless commitment to duty and heroism. I was only eight years old when you passed but often when I think back it seems like it happen only days ago. It was really tough losing one of the most compassionate auntie's I've ever had. I can remember the sundays at church and the saturday night crab feasts that last til midnight. It all happen so fast. I didn't get the chance to catch my breath to say thank you. Thank you for the time you shared with us. Thank you for the humor and laughter you brought. Lastly thank you for all the love you gave. You are my hero and you will truly be missed but never forgotten. Love always your Nephew, Marcus.

The night you left us I was there although I didnt know it. My mother was a little over 7 months pregnant with me the night she had to go on camera and speak out about your death. I grew up in the Hollywood PD since both parents were officers with you and one of the first stories I remember is my mother telling me what an incredible person you were. Officer Shivers, you are an inspiration to many young women including myself. I only wish I was able to have learned that for myself. Sleep with the Angels, you are in my prayers. xoxo

Greater Love Hath No Man than this, that he lay down his life for a friend. Doesn't say about non-friends, but obviously, Frankie Mae, you pleased your Creator greatly. Young lady, as you now know, Jesus Loves You, so do we!
