To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

am the grandson of General. I never met him as he was killed 21 years before I was born. My mother shared stories of him, and the days after his death and how much she missed him. To honor his life I became a Reserve Deputy and served the community as he did. I was happy to have his name added to the national Law Enforcement Memorial in 1995. He was survived by his wife and nine children, and today by more than 100 grand, great grand, great great grand, great great great grand kids. He is not forgotten.
