Reflections for Detective Erwin W. Schink

I first learned of Erwin W. Schink when I saw his name on the Wayne County First Responders Memorial in Hines Park. Don't know why I remembered his name, but glad I did.

He's been in God's hands for 62 years, he is still remembered.

Thank you for your service.

I am the grand daughter of Erwin Schink. My mother, Cathy, adored her father and has never quite gotten over his passing. He has been missed dearly. I would love to learn more about this great man, my grand father.

My father, Arthur LaVigne, served on the Detroit P.D. from 1954-1960 so he may have known you. He then went on to retire from the Flint P.D. in 1987. May God bless your family and may you rest in peace.
