Tommy and I worked out of Wilshire Division when he was killed. He myself and two other policeman lived in an apartment building in Hollywood, Ca. He was a great friend and a good cop. I was a pallbearer at his funeral. He was thinking about getting married and starting a new phase of his young life. I will miss him forever,

Its a wierd thing. I learned about you today while remembering a friend and LAPD officer James Beyea # 25532. He was killed on 06/07/1988.
Your info will be passed on for generations to come, to remember you and to remember how dangerous our job is.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

I barely knew Tom. His mother and my father were married for a short time. They moved to LA where Tom became a police officer. I was young but I remember being proud that I had a relative who was a police officer and remember how hurt my father was when news of the murder reached us back in Ohio.

RIP brother.
