Reflections for Captain Frederick William Sauer

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

I never knew my Grandfather, but my Father, William Henry, who died, in 1989, always was so effected by his Fathers death.

My father, William, never did get over his Father's fatal shooting.

Now, myself, a citizen of Columbus Ohio, and live in the downtown area, have a much better understanding of risks that officers take everyday, to protect the us.

My brother, was named after my Grandfather, and he too is now deceased. The family legacy (name) stopped with my brother in 1992.

I wish to publically thank my Grandfather and wish to honor him today. Best wishes to all the families that have been effected by a death of an officer in the line of duty.

Trelene Turner
Granddaughter, of Captain Frederick William Sauer
