To my uncle in heaven, although I never got to know you because I was a year old I became a police officer because of you. My mission is what you loved to do serve and protect. I will carry your legacy with me on every tour and to make sure I fulfill your dreams as your life was cut short. Love you always. Fidelis Ad Mortem.

Somehow I came upon this page and I don't know how. Alberto Alvarado-Velez was my uncle. Although I was a child when he was taken from us, he is missed each and every day. His only daughter now has a son who's middle name is after him. He did what he loved and sadly was taken from us too soon. He was a hero.
My condolences to the families of fallen PO and those serving our country. Prayers and blessings.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 26th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
