Hey great-granddaddy...I did something for you, Great-Grandma and Maw Maw....you are being inducted into the American Police Hall of Fame this spring....and they have awarded you a posthumous Medal of Honor....I'm so glad you are being honored and I know you're up there patrolling the streets of gold with Jilly and Lori's fathers....say hey to them, ok? We love you and have never forgotten you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

How proud you must be that your family has continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

Rest In Peace

Hi Great-Granddaddy! I wish we could have met. You'd be proud to know that I am now the 4th generation in law enforcement in our family, and it all started with you. PawPaw was with the Shelby Police and Daddy with Forsyth County. We will meet one day-when it is God's will. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice for your fellow man. BTW, your great-great-granddaughter looks just like your daughter did when she was a baby! See you in heaven...
