Chief, I am Marshal Ryan's great granddaughter. To my knowledge there are no photos of him. I am 66 yrs old and have never seen a pic of him. So sorry and thank you for the memorial to him and Mr. Basham. Our family appreciates it very much.

I am creating a memorial wall for Marshal Ryan and Officer Basham in the lobby of the Warrensburg Police Station and I am trying to locate a picture of each of them. If anyone knows where I can find one, please forward it to me.

To Nicole Marie Mcelfresh: He was also my great grandfather, but I don't seem to know which of John Iras children was your parent. I knew most all of my cousins, but I don't remember ever hearing one named Nicole Marie. I know all of the children from my aunts so which uncle was your father?? Marshall Ryan only had 2 children and one died without fathering any children so that leaves only my grandfather. I would be delighted to find I have another cousin!!!

Your heroism and service is honored today on the one hundred and fourth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
