Rest In Peace Sir. Growing up I heard stories of my Great Grandfather. I too followed in his footsteps of being a Peace Officer. Thank you for your service. We love you.

My great grandfather was the second officer with you that night. Thank you for going to help him find the suspect. You gave your life after the suspect surprisingly pulled a gun. RIP sir

John Wesley Ross was my grandfather. He was killed 10 years
before I was born to his daughter Lona Martha Rose Fryhoff. I grew up hearing my aunt's and uncles recounting the story and their great loss.
There is pride in his service and respect for all those that serve in law enforcement.

As his family, we have great pride in and for the service of our Great Grandfather, John Wesley Rose. My Grandmother, Ola Josephine (Rose) Maize, was his daughter, and my Mother, Sally Lou (Maize) Sefrit, was his Granddaughter. As one of his Great Grandsons, I've passed on his story to our children, Janna (Sefrit) Bailey and Jason Todd Sefrit, and to their children. Thank you for remembering him!
