Reflections for Patrolman John Ringhauser

It always fascinates me that you pass a street and never know what may have happened there many years ago I was assigned to NYPD mounted troop G next door to the 102 pct and had no idea of police Officer Ringhauser and his tragic death so very many years ago . It would be proper if the City would put up a permanent marker where a Policer Officer lost his life in a line of duty incident , But who in NYC cares or would want to put up several hundred such markers.

To The Family of Patrolman Ringhauser:
I wanted to offer my sympathies on your tragic death. Patrolman Ringhauser you are missed by your family, friends and colleagues. Your courage and bravery will never be forgotten. My dad Patrolman Owen C. Davis worked for almost 40 years out of the 102 precinct. His tour of duty was from 1928 until 1966. Then he retired and came to Florida with my mom and younger sister. Rest in peace Patrolman Ringhauser you will never be forgotten.
