To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 110th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Hero's never die. They only live on through the actions of others. Everyone of our officer's are hero's. They just havn't been discovered yet. Please watch over them as they walk their beat's and protect our streets, until the day you all shall meet.

Mr. Rich
Since I now in 2007 carry the gun and badge you carried in 1902 it is only fitting to give you the respect you earned. I hope I can make you proud sir. Back in 1902, you had family friends and a brotherhood of officers that missed you just as I would today. I hope you hop into that cruiser with me every night and give me that extra set of eyes we all need. I also hope you are proud of how great of a police department your department has turned out to be. You didn't die in vain, it was and is a great job and good does come from what we do.
