Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service as a law enforcement officer and to your country as a Marine. My son was also your brother in green as well so I bid you semper fi. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

This is my dad. I was 6 when he died. He was chasing a thief and collapsed from an apparant heart attack. He had served in the Marine Corp for 8 years and wanted to serve the people in some capacity. We never found the suspect that Dad was chasing, he will never know the man that he killed that day or the husband and father that left behind a young wife and 3 small children. Daddy was just 33 years old. I am 51 now and remember that day like it was yesterday Thanks for caring.

How sad is it that, not only was Officer Reiff lost to us, but that the circumstances of his loss aren't available.

If it's just a case of the records were lost, I would like to think someone would look them up in honor of this man.

If the reasons are of a more personal nature, then God rest his soul and may he rest in peace. I respect that.

Either way, Officer Reiff, thank you for your service to the profession. Bless you and those who were left behind. I know you're with them still in spirit.
