Dear Grandfather, you were a war hero while serving in the Army , receiving the Silver Star and purple heart and as a member of the the New Jersey State Police you were relentless while proforming C.P.R. on your partner Trooper Marshall bringing his lifeless body back to life. You were taken away before we could ever meet.. You will never be forgotten. Your Grandson Edward

My grandmother, your sister, Betty Perry Conte, was so very proud of you and yet devastated at the loss of your physical presence.
She is with you now. Take care of her. Although I am sure she is taking care of you!
I promise to keep your memory alive through my children and grandchildren.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 75th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
