Reflections for Trooper Charles Warren Perkins

Today we honorably provide reflections to Trooper Charles W. Perkins who passed away on this date 53 years ago. Additionally I like to also honor his son, Trooper Charles W. Perkins Jr who also lost his life in 1998. To Charlie's son Marc, and to his sister Janine you guys are in our prayers every single time we reflect upon Trooper Charles W. Perkins and Trooper Charles W. Perkins Jr. May God bless you both and bless your respective families.

I'm not sure what to call myself, kind of a step-son I guess. But your son will always be my brother, no step, no half. I'm the son from the next marriage if your wife. I didn't know you, but I grew up with pictures of you everywhere. Your memory everywhere. By all accounts a great man. Know that your son Charlie truly carried in your footsteps. He was and is loved by all. I miss him everyday. Rest in peace and take care of my mom. It's an honor to be part of such a family, yours as well as the NYSP Survivors family.

My grandfather, I never knew you and I had such a brief time with my own father, I only hope to leave as great of memories on the people I encounter as both of you did. I love you both. Marc

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I never got the chance to know you, but I know your son Charlie, and daughter Janine are a reflection of you. Charlie followed in your footsteps, and he was the sweetest person I know. Janine is one of the most caring thoughtful people I know. You can be proud of your legacy. Love, your neice Missy.

My Dad and his son, my brother, Charles W Perkins Jr(Charlie). Charliie died in 1998 in a tragic accident. My Mom, who lost not only her Husband but also her son, passed away this last November, so I take comfort in Knowing that My Father and Brother are standing proud with my Mom and that I am not alone because I am a survivor of a New York State Trooper and belong to one of the most dedicated families on Earth, the proud survivor's of our fallen Officers. May God Protect Our Family.
