To my Grandpa (My Dido),
I never had the chance to know you, but your life still beats strongly in the hearts of your sons. My dad, Taras Michael and uncle Phillip Michael are wonderful men, always true to what matters in their lives and families.

All I know is that in war and peace you freely gave your all for others. I hope to continue that legacy as I pass an age 15 years older than yours when your tour of duty ended.

My daughter, Lily, knows your story and like me tries to live up to your ideals of service and community.
