Special Agent Owens, you died the year after my Dad was born. He spent many years employed by the New York Central Railroad, five of those years as a cop before joining my hometown PD. I know how tough being a RR Cop can be and I thank you for all your efforts to help protect one of America's greatest assets. It's now been 84 years and you have not, nor will be forgotten.
I hope and pray your partner, though no doubt long since gone, FULLY recovered from his wounds. I do NOT mourn the animal who shot you both.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 74th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Special Agent Owens, today marks the 71st anniversary of your murder. You and your partner were doing your job and in doing so were helping to make our railroads safe. Our railroads were then, and are still vital to commerce and travel. These railroads need women and men like you who are willing to step up to the plate and keep them safe.
Your partner finished your murder off and it’s difficult to feel any pity for him.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
