Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. . My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my family's embrace today. I am sur eyou are proud that your family continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

Chief,
I wanted to tell you that I know your family, in particular your three grandsons who have followed in your footsteps. They are all fine police officers and men. They are stand up cops that care for each other and their fellow officers. They keep your memory and service alive and are a credit to you and the profession. Your service did not end in 1968, it merely started a proud tradition in the Onka family.

Chief Onka,
On today, the 37th anniversary of your death, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Sugar Creek. But one thing I can't understand is how your murderer only had to do 7 years in prison for murdering a police officer-when I read stuff like that, it just makes my blood boil.
