To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 75th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

My mom knew you as "Eddie." You were my grandma's cousin. There were so many Patrick O'Malleys in the family you guys went by your middle name, like my grandfather. My mom remembers you were dating or "courting" a girl who worked at the pub. You liked to go in after your shift and help them close up. On that night, when that evil walked in the door, you did the best you could. Four on one, even with today's training, usually ends badly.

You are still a hero in this family, and will never be forgotten.
