The man who murdered this poor officer is all over CNN today trying to get out of his punishment. To hear him rationalize the way this officer died is a tragedy and should not be tolerated. This officer lost his life and now 25 years later his murderer is trying to say it is an accident. We need to never forget this brave police officer and how he died. We should always remember that this man deserves justice. God bless you sir for your sacrifice and sense of duty. Thank you for being there that night to protect us.

God bless you brother. I read about you on CNN. The story should have been devoted to you not the pathetic coward who coldly took you away from your loved ones. May God continue to watch over your family.

My regards to this man. My grandfather was shot in this same incident. His name is Aubrey Kenneth Stoddard. He almost lost his life aswell, if it were not for the other officers that came up on the scene.

For all those who made that sacrifice for the people of the world: thank you.

What makes the death of this hero, even more tragic, is that the condemned individual, is still trying to spare his sorry existence, by lying. He blames the Memphis PD, for killing LT Oliver in a "friendly fire" incident. LT Oliver, you are, were, and will always be a dedicated public servant, to me. You were a Centurion. The coward that killed you will one day have to face the ultimate judge and answer, and only the truth will be heard. God Bless and Comfort those you left behind. God Bless and Protect those who now have the watch in Memphis
