My Great Grandfather who I've never met but still know what an amazing Man and Officer he was in my hometown! My son is almost 2 years old now and named after him! I wish I could have met him. Thank you for your services.

On behalf of the men and women of the Beaufort Police Department and the Beaufort community, we thank you for your service and sacrifice. Always remembered...

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 68th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your last minutes on earth were one of compassion for the one who robbed you of your life. You were truly an amazing man and I feel honored that we are both North Carolina natives as was my son Larry.
Rest In Peace.

mother of fallen officer Larry Lasater

THOUGH THERE HAS ONLY BEEN ONE FROM THIS DEPARTMENT,THAT IS ONE TOO MANY. SO LET US NOT FORGET THAT NO MATTER WHERE WE POLICE, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE THAT WILL TAKE OUR LIVES. BLESS AND REMEMBER EVERY OFFICER THAT HAS GONE INTO THE DARKNESS NOT TO RETURN.THE FAMILIES THEY HAVE LEFT BEHIND WILL NEVER FORGET NOR SHOULD WE.
