Lieutenant Brian Mohamed died from illnesses caused by inhaling toxic materials while partaking in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site, following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Lieutenant Mohamed was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the New York City Police Department for 17 years. He was assigned to the 20th Precinct in Manhattan. He is survived by his wife and child.
