Patrol Agent Oscar Torres died after falling through an opening on a railroad bridge near El Paso, Texas.
He and two other agents went to the bridge to open a gate to allow a train to pass through. As he returned to the land he tripped and fell to the river bottom, 25-feet below.
Agent Torres had been with the agency for five years. He was survived by his wife and three children. He was buried in the Buena Vista Cemetery, Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas.
