Patrolman Thomas Noonan was killed in vehicle crash on John's Hill Road while responding to an armed robbery call at a local service station.
His patrol car left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned. He was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. The call he was responding to turned out to be a false alarm.
Patrolman Noonan had served with the Highland Heights Police Department for two years and had previously served with the Newport Police Department.
