Sergeant Danny Tunney and Sergeant John Domblisky were killed when a vehicle crossed over the median and struck their vehicle head-on in the 11000 block of North Seventh Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was under the influence of cocaine at the time of the incident.

Sergeant Tunney is survived by his wife and five children.

It doesn't seem possible that it's been 29 years since you were taken along with John. I remember you from the late 60s when you were working GIB at 17 S. Then you came to Squaw Peak working dets there. You went from a chubby kid to a skinny kid. You really relished those styrofoam rice cakes you use to eat. Because of you, john and most of the dets at Sq Pk we ,on the street, had a good working relationship together. We put a few bad guys away..
