View all 9 ReflectionsIt's winter and though this winter has, so far, been mild and snow free, we still have February to get through and even March. Each and every time any of us step out on an icy night we run the risk of injury or, as shown by your sacrifice, potential death. This may be true for everyone in a cold climate, but we don't always have the luxury of being able to inch along on the ice. We may be forced to jump and move as quickly as we can to help someone in need or attempt to catch a bad guy.
No matter the reason for you slipping, you were at a greater risk than the average joe citizen. You made a sacrifice 52 years ago today. I thank you for your service and God Bless you, Brother.
