Maureen Kelly Murphy

Patrol Officer Maureen Murphy was shot and killed by a sniper with a high-powered rifle as she did paperwork in her patrol car.

The subject was apprehended but later hanged himself in his jail cell.

Officer Murphy was survived by her husband, who was also a police officer, and her 15-month-old daughter.

On this actual anniversary of your death at the hands of one of the most cowardly acts by one of the most cowardly people who was unable to face justice and consequences of that justice by hanging himself, I’d like to reiterate my previous reflection and say that your law enforcement family will never forget.
