Trooper Bradford Mott was killed in a motorcycle crash on Post Road in North Kingstown after his motorcycle experienced mechanical troubles. His motorcycle left the road and struck a tree at approximately 6:10 p.m.

Trooper Mott had served with the Rhode Island State Police for seven years. He was survived by his wife, two children, and parents.

Although I did not know you, I am sure you were one of the best. At your gravesite, I visit you once a year when I travel to Maine. Making sure your all spruced up and shining, just as your service was to the force.
