Captain Thomas Beahm was traveling between work sites when his vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle north of Rosendale, Wisconsin.
A tractor-trailer had rear-ended another car that was stopped on Highway 26 while attempting to turn left onto Frank Road. The impact pushed the vehicle into Captain Beahm's path. Captain Beahm and the woman driving the other car were both killed. An officer riding with Captain Beahm was seriously injured.
Captain Beahm had served with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for 14 years. He is survived by two children, fiancee, parents, a brother, and three sisters.
