Roland W. Morgan

Police Officer Roland Morgan was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver at the intersection of Roland Avenue and Upland Road. He was struck by the vehicle as he exited his patrol car to use a call box.

The suspect was arrested at a nightclub several hours later. The 29-year-old suspect was charged and later convicted of drunk driving, reckless driving, hit-and-run, and manslaughter. He served four months of a two-year sentence.

Officer Morgan had served with the Baltimore City Police Department for six years. He was survived by his wife and four children.
