Glanville Christopher-Figueroa

Officer Christopher-Figueroa was shot and killed while trying to stop an armed robbery at a liquor store.

At approximately 11:30pm, off-duty Officer Christopher-Figueroa was in a convenience store near the Punta Las Marias neighborhood when two individuals, one armed, announced a robbery. When Officer Christopher-Figueroa identified himself as a police officer and tried to calm the situation the armed men shot him and fled the scene. The officer died in the Rio Piedras Medical Center while in surgery.

Officer Christopher-Figueroa had served with the agency for three years and was assigned to the Juvenile Crimes Unit. He was survived by his mother and father, a US Virgin Islands Police Officer, and his brother.
