John O. Miller

Police Officer John Miller was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a man for disturbing the peace.

The suspect was arrested, convicted of second degree murder, and sentenced to 21 years in prison. In 1918 his sentence was reduced to 10 years.

Officer Miller was survived by his wife and one child.
