View all 14 ReflectionsI met David in his line of duty. He used to come with myself and my son Michael on court ordered visitation. I was so surprised how young David was. He was a kind, nice decent guy. My son was only 4 years old but took a liking to David. David told me he sometimes worked with his father on days off. At that time I worked for my dad. This is so sad, it brought/brings tears to my eye when I first read what had happened. I lived in Miami 200 miles away, back then there was no internet. I had heard a rumor that a young Frostproof officer was killed back then but it wasn’t David the name was Henry. This hurts me so much. I think about his new wife, his parents and all the potential he had. I know what it’s like to lose a son. My only child Michael passed away last year. He committed suicide after a confrontation with his mother. Michael was always trying to get something from his mother. LOVE. She lacked compassion and was never able to give him a mothers LOVE he so desperately needed.
That Frostproof Police Department played a big role in helping me get custody of Michael to which I will always be so very grateful.
David, please watch over Michael or maybe he will watch over you. This is such a tragedy and so unfair. I hope that someday they will get the person that caused it.
