Dear Detective,
I was on the radio the night you were gunned down. Never in my wildest dreams would I have a call of a signal 18 to one of my most inspirational and caring friends and the best Detective I have known. You and I spoke many times in the passageways not only of JSO but of the times we each had in the Corps. I learned a deeper love of my department, my friends and mostly of God. Every time I hear of an officer being injured or worst, being killed, I say a little prayer to you to show them the way. I keep your family in my prayers and to this day if I see a JSO officer I ask about your case. Someday I hope to hear, "we got the bas***d."
