Officer Stewart Savage died from injuries sustained in an accident on March 12, 1995. Officer Savage was in pursuit of a speeding car when his cruiser struck a patch of black ice and then struck a utility pole. He was air-lifted to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries six days later.

Officer Savage had served with the Wellesley Police Department for seven years. He is survived by his parents.

03/18/ 2020 My wife Deb Ordway woke up today and said she had a dream about Stew. Deb was a Sgt on Wellesley P.D. and close friend of Stew’s as well as I was, He started out as a Dispatcher at Wellesley College PD where I was a Sgt at the time. I asked if he was Smiling she said yes. I then told her it was the anniversary of his death. She was floored She said in her dream he was happy and had given her a kiss on the cheek
