Danny,
I didn't know this memorial was here - just found it. I happened to be riding with a friend of mine, a Traffic Officer, that horrible night. It was my night off from working SPIDER dispatch. I don't think I've ever gotten over having to help her work the accident scene...and then, the trip to the hospital. It seemed to us that you would just jump off that gurney and yell "just kidding!" , like the joker you often were. Only - you didn't. And our hearts broke.
Our hearts were broken again when we heard you and your wife were expecting your first baby.
When we learned your wife named her Danielle, we cried again.
It was so hard, that final goodbye.
I've wondered a long time, Little Dani (that's what some of us called you), how you and your mom were doing. Prayed for you both, hoping you did okay, and it sounds like you did. That makes me so glad, knowing that. God bless you both.
Danny, God bless you, too - and may perpetual light shine upon you.
